I am a disabled artist who has been struggling with housing for over a year now.
My current living situation will end in May (amicably, this wasn't meant to be a long term solution).
My only income is transitional assistance, which is.
.
.
very little, but it's something.
I can only afford $200 a month with it, which makes finding housing very difficult.
I'm looking for a room, access to a kitchen and bathroom.
Nothing fancy, just a safe place to sleep and exist.
I'm animal friendly, LGBTQIA+ friendly, don't smoke or drink, only use a bit of THC medicinally.
I'm 34 years old, female.
I can provide my own food, internet is a plus but I can just use my phone as well.
A MBTA stop within less than a mile is a plus, since I use public transit to get around.
My disabilities keep me from functioning in traditional jobs, but I keep myself busy with making stuff.
Jewelry making, sewing, sculpture and 2d art.
Whatever I can get my hands on.
I know $200 a month isn't much, but I currently don't have rental assistance and it will take over a year or more to go through the disability process.
Shelters are extremely difficult to manage, to the point where if I've timed out of the safe shelter I can handle, I just stay on the street.
But that's not sustainable either.
I can't make progress in therapy, or create, or hardly function at all without a safe place to sleep and rest.
If you have space, and are willing to accept what I can offer, please reach out.
