Hello there,
I am a 40-year-old professionally skilled female farmer from Vermont looking to change things up a bit and return to school in Boston.
I hope to find a co-habitation arrangement that will work well for both you and your family, dear reader.
As for myself, I am a thoughtful and conscientious person.
I can offer help, kindness, and care in return for companionship and a roof over my head as I live quietly, write, and attend college classes nearby.
I have a very diverse background, coming from a large and loving family (some of which is also Boston-based :)), working in technology in San Francisco for a decade, and then more recently, running an eco-farm with livestock and vacation rentals in Eastern Central Vermont.
My farm is only a couple hours from downtown Boston so I could easily journey to meet for a sit-down to see if both parties are a good fit.
My hope is that my being present with you or a loved one would allow an individual in-care to remain mostly self-sufficient in their own home and avoid other, perhaps more alienating types of elder care.
My own family has gone through this process in recent years so I understand the potential challenges.
I would gladly agree to a terms list in writing to perhaps include: accompanying walks, helpful chores, errands run, computer support, etc.
I am also very handy (I have painting, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical experience in my tool belt).
I am willing to receive certified training for elder care first aid.
My ideal “home” match would provide me with my own comfortable quarters for a year or two.
Please email and give as much information as possible if this offer of co-habitation and care sounds interesting to you and yours.
I am prepared to furnish a list of personal and professional references and hopefully we can connect.
Thank you,
Nicole
