We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join Thayer & Associates as a full-time Assistant Property Manager.
This role will support two luxury residential portfolios; one is condominium located in Brookline, MA and the other is a multifamily rental community in Cambridge, MA.
As the Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial part in the day-to-day operations.
You will collaborate closely with the sites’ property managers, tenants, and vendors to ensure the seamless functioning of our properties.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in handling tenant inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with tenants.
- Schedule and record service requests, and liase between tenant and maintenance departments.
- Assist with leasing and tours.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lease records and tenant files.
- Prepare and distribute communications to residents including, but not limited to, lease violations, event notices, and maintenance announcements.
- Assist residents with questions about their account and setting up payments.
- Provide administrative assistance to property managers.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments.
Qualifications: - Proven experience in property management or related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office, and comfortable utilizing new technology.
- Knowledge of local housing laws and regulations.
- Associate's degree or higher in Business, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
Work Hours: - This is a full-time position, Monday- Friday, and the hours will be split across two sites in the Cambridge and Brookline areas.
Occasional nights or weekends may be requested for special events or projects.
