Synergy, a leading Boston commercial real estate firm with over 7 million square feet under management, seeks a Residential Assistant Property Manager to join our team to oversee a multi-family properties in the Boston area.
As a Residential Assistant Property Manager, you will be supporting the property management team with the the financial, operational, and administrative duties for the assigned properties.
You will also ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations that govern multi-family housing operations.
The Synergy team currently oversees over 50 properties throughout greater Boston with expertise in Property Management, Building Engineering, Accounting, and Construction.

The ideal candidate will possess reporting experience, ability to communicate effectively, safety conscious, ability to assert yourself, preference for detail-oriented work, ability to work well under pressure, self-motivation and self-direction, ability to work with/without direct supervision and the ability to become a team leader.
What we’re looking for in you:
2+ years of experience managing multi-family properties.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Experience with Yardi and RealPage real estate accounting software.
Proficiency in industry related financial disciplines, including budgeting/forecasting, monthly reporting, P&L management, accounts receivable, expense management, operating and capital expenses.
Background in maintaining the operational standards for the building and grounds from a cleanliness, safety, and appearance perspective.
Strong interpersonal and resident service skills and the ability to navigate difficult conversations.
Significant commitment to resident relations to improve resident satisfaction metrics.
Prepare and process resident service requests.
Respond effectively to telephone inquiries to generate prospective resident visits to the property.
Manage the apartment turnover process and coordinate with vendors.
Order stock, supplies, and inventory for the property.
Experience in the leasing and lease enforcement process including application approval, renewals, apartment inspections and legal/notice requirements.
Process move ins, move outs, and deposit accounting related to security deposits.
Housing and Affordable Recertifications.
Weekly and Monthly Reporting to Management and Investment Group – aggregating financial, leasing, legal, accrual and operations updates for various stakeholders.
