Leasing Associate

Entry / Growth Level Position Leasing Associate Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Boston Urban is seeking a motivated and collaborative team member to join their highly successful leasing team in the Boston market.
Previous real estate experience is not required but what is paramount is a deep interest in Boston’s retail, restaurant and entertainment scene and the ability to communicate and articulate effectively.
A strong desire and drive to succeed while taking ownership of one’s body of work is essential.
A MA Real Estate Salesperson license is required to commence employment.
The ideal Associate will help maximize the existing team's leasing potential of the Company by assisting in all aspects of deal-making and business development.
The ability to thrive in a collaborative, team spirited environment is key, and the candidate must be committed to starting a long-term career and willing to invest the proper time required to learn a new industry.
· Comprehend key market trends and events in the retail and restaurant industry, both locally and nationally, to source new tenant and landlord business.
· Evaluate and make recommendations concerning prospective tenants for assigned projects based on tenant mix, credit worthiness, etc.
· Pursue and communicate directly with retailers and restaurateurs (national, regional, local) within targeted uses to properly educate them on the company’s available opportunities.
· Negotiate terms and conditions of lease transactions.
· Regular and systematic canvassing, cold calling, and networking.
· Constant communication via phone, email, and in person meetings, with tenant and landlord representatives, brokers, and attorneys.
· The opportunity to collaborate and work closely with brands that have a global presence to mom and pop shops looking to open their first store.
