AVP, Loan Servicing
Incredible opportunity to manage the various servicing functions of all commercial, residential, and consumer loans throughout the loan life cycle, including, payment processing, escrow administration, payoff processing, lien release, and general ledger reconciliation.
Ensure department operations are fully compliant and member-focused in accordance with the Credit Union’s strategic goals.
Essential Job Functions:
• Manage and monitor the productivity and daily functions of loan servicing staff to ensure compliance with established Service Level Agreements (“SLAs”) and to maximize operation efficiencies and operational excellence.
• Manage team of 15 in Loan Servicing - including three direct reports who each have a team of four.
• Coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
Manage performance of team.
• Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Make recommendations for promotions, transfers, salary increases, etc.
• Provide support and backup processing for all loan servicing functions including, but not limited to payment, payoffs, line advances, file maintenance requests, loan collateral administration, and recording and satisfaction of loan documents.
• Oversee insurance check processing for real estate losses to include approval of checks, tracking of holdback disbursements, and working with members, inspectors, and contractors to ensure work is completed to protect the Credit Union’s collateral position.
• Oversee loan servicing documentation procedures.
• Stay current on regulatory changes as they relate to loan servicing.
Requirements:
• Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in consumer loan servicing is required.
Strength with compliance strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with people management - successfully overseeing and motivating a team to meet goals and deadlines.
• Skills/Knowledge/Certifications
• Strong knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of all state and federal lending regulations.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills – able to effectively relay information.
• Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment with an ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
Work Environment:
• Position is eligible for Hybrid Work Agreement: minimum of 3 days/week in office.
(Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and another day to be worked out within department).
• Position is eligible for Compressed Work Agreement (4x10) – all four days must be on-site in Chelsea.
• Onboarding requirement of first 30 days in office
