Adjunct Faculty - Clinical Psychology, Spring 2024
William James College, located in Newton, MA, just west of Boston, is seeking an Adjunct faculty member to teach Advanced Clinical Practice in the Clinical Psychology Program for Spring 2024.
The course is in-person with multiple sections available (Monday 10:00am – 11:50am; Tuesday 1:00pm – 2:50pm; and Wednesday 10:00am – 11:50am).
This course will run from January 8 – May 6, 2024.
Course Description: This seminar is designed to teach students how to integrate and apply the knowledge learned from theory and practice courses into clinical practice.
Students will further develop integrative case conceptualization skills, and apply these skills to inform treatment planning.
Students will develop increased proficiency in implementing treatment plans.
They will learn how to evaluate intervention effectiveness and modify formulations and treatment plans as new data becomes available or as client circumstances change.
Students will develop skills to effectively intervene and respond to clinical issues as they arise, using evidence-based approaches.
Perspectives related to diversity, as well as biological, social, cultural, political and other contextual contributions are addressed throughout the course.
The syllabus, lectures, and assignments for this course have already been developed!
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree in School, Clinical, or Counseling Psychology or in a related field.
The candidate will have to be available during one or more of the days listed above.
