Job Overview::
Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to join our team in Waltham, MA.
This candidate would be joining our Project Controls team and would be responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project control assignments with general oversight.
This position will perform cost analysis, forecasting, change control, and reporting for a portfolio of projects budgeted to spend tens of millions during the fiscal year.
Must be able to compare monthly actuals to the project baseline, identify variances, while simultaneously monitoring the projects’ baseline plans and the fiscal budget, as well as generate Periodic Project Controls Analytics.
Responsibilities & Duties::
Knowledge and understanding of budgets, direct and indirect labor charges, accruals, overheads, amortization, allocations
Strong problem solving skills and technical skills with the proven ability to integrate large amounts of data from multiple databases or systems
Experience working in a PMO environment or on a project controls team is not required but is a plus
Exposure to energy-related projects not required a plus
Assigned to multiple “Green ” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix
Cost analysis, cost budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications & Skills::
Associates or Bachelors degree in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or related field
2-5 years of project controls experience
Working knowledge of project controls principles
Working knowledge to Proficiency with project management and project controls concepts
Knowledge of computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, spreadsheets
The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets.
