About the Role:
Industrious is looking to expand its accounting department by welcoming a Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist to the team.
As the company continues to scale at a rapid pace, a strong addition to AR is crucial.
This role provides the unique opportunity to gain experience in receivables of many kinds; the Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist will interact with many departments within the company including Unit Operations, Real Estate, Operations, Special Projects, and Enterprise.
In addition to this, the Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist will have the opportunity to work with Industrious members across the country.
The top priority for this role is to provide support in maintaining the company's AR percentage against revenue within the amounts set by the finance team.
This role will require someone who is incredibly detail-oriented, a team player, and comfortable working in an environment of rapid growth.
Responsibilities:
Implement quality assurance for all billing-related processes
Work within cross-functional teams to resolve payment and billing errors
Provide customer support for billing issues & inquiries together with accounts receivable
Monitor the operations of the team and the systems to ensure the effective delivery of accurate billing information to our member
Provide support and clarity to the accounting team for month-end tasks as they relate to member billing
Provide account receivable support regarding payment and credit memo applications
Provide billing-related support for the Special Projects team in a manner that adheres to their timeline
Support and identify resolutions as they relate to payment inquiries and issues
Review monthly invoices to ensure clarity and accuracy before posting them on the member billing portal
Compile detailed statements of accounts including invoice breakdowns, payment allocation, credit memos, and refunds for members upon request
Support location managers with any AR or billing related inquiries and assist with executing transactions within Salesforce
Reconcile passthrough revenue utilizing data from multiple systems
Requirements:
1-2 years experience in Accounts Receivable and Billing, or a Accounts Assistant role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Experience with accounting systems and AR software (Salesforce, Zuora, Stripe, or comparable platforms) desired
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Proactive with problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn
Ability to manage multiple tasks with detail and accuracy in a fast-paced and demanding environment
French speaking would be very nice to have, although not a must!
Compensation:
The annual base compensation range for this role is between $60,000 and $75,000.
The successful candidate's actual base compensation will be based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications.
You will also be eligible for a target annual bonus of 10% of your base compensation, linked to personal and company performance.
Base and bonus compensation are just two components of Industrious' total compensation package that may be available to employees.
