We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team in the education software industry.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insightful financial recommendations and support the achievement of business goals.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with department heads to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Monitor and report on budget variances, identifying trends and proposing corrective actions as necessary.
Improve and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning and for analyzing various business scenarios and strategic initiatives.
Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, highlighting financial and operational performance trends.
Collaborate with business leaders to ensure financial data accuracy and relevance in decision-making processes.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to understand business drivers and provide financial insights.
Assists in analyzing and reporting on the Company’s SAAS metrics including ACV, ARR/MRR, CAC, renewal rates, churn.
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required, addressing specific business inquiries and providing recommendations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.
g.
, CFA, CPA) is a plus.
Proven experience (7+ years) in financial analysis, preferably within the software industry.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools; advanced Excel skills are essential.
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with financial software systems and ERP systems is preferred.
