Description:
Summary
The Bookkeeper performs all journal entries to debit and credit accounts, reconciles statements, and generates accounting reports.
In partnership with the Business Operations Manager, the Bookkeeper is responsible for preparing budgets, cash flows, forecasting, and goals in each of these areas.
The Bookkeeper will meet with the Owner on a monthly basis to provide a financial summary and discuss future planning.

Oversees financial accounts, analysis, and budget forecasting
Maintains records of financial transactions through general ledger management
Responsible for preparing reconciliations, cash flows, and accounting statements
Ensures legal compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
Establishes best practice methods for sales tax reporting
Understands business plans and writes proposals
Provides outstanding service to both internal and external customers
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
May be responsible for vendor selection and contractor relationships
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
5-8 years experience managing bookkeeping and accounting practices
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and Google apps, with advanced Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related area
8-10 years experience managing bookkeeping and accounting practices
3+ years experience managing business operations
Experience with You Need a Budget software preferred
Work Environment
This job can be performed in a professional or home office environment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position and hours will vary; evenings and weekends may be required.
