Job Description:
Responsible for analyzing simple to moderately complex commercial real estate credit transactions for new and existing relationships.
Perform tasks on the existing portfolio such as managing portfolio data, annual reviews, covenant tests, documentation, and other tasks needed to maintain the Large Commercial Real Estate portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Where applicable, some of the duties listed below will be under the general supervision of the Senior CRE Portfolio Analyst.
Perform credit analysis of existing and prospective loan accounts
Write detailed reports regarding the borrower relationships, including ability to service debt and mitigate risks, a review of financial and market data, collateral quality, and the history of the relationship
Request and review borrower and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, and other pertinent financial information
Manage portfolio data on Needham Bank’s LoanVantage platform
Prepare various written reports including: loan presentations, loan modifications, and credit file comments as needed in accordance with the Bank’s loan policy and procedures
Assist Lending Team Leader/Senior Portfolio Analyst with customer inquiries and servicing requests
Review and maintain digital loan files
Perform portfolio collateral site visits
Participate in training activities as needed
Represent the Bank at various community functions
Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned
Experience and Skills:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Basic financial analytical skills with sound judgment and decision making abilities
General knowledge of commercial real estate lending practices and related areas
Knowledge of business/personal financial statements and tax returns
Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management, peers and customers
Ability to learn and implement the Bank’s and Commercial Real Estate Lending Department’s policies and procedures
Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications
Reliable and highly self-motivated
Superior customer service skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related area
Zero to two years bank credit experience or related bank experience in underwriting and analyzing business financial statements and tax returns is preferable
